The family has been operating the farm since 1915. Gerry Harper took over the property in 1985 and began growing Christmas trees. In 1993, he planted a quarter-acre of raspberries. Today, Gerry’s raspberry operation extends to 8 acres.
Description
Five varieties of raspberries are farmed : Prelude, Killarny, Encore, Royalty, K81-6. Pumpkins are also grown on less than 1 hectare and sold at the farm stand set up in a former general store dating back to the previous century and also featuring a collection of old farming implements.
