Brief History

Jean-Louis was a partner in the Belliveau Orchard family farm for 25 years. Madeleine operated a farm in Quebec for 15 years. Together, they founded Les Petits Fruits de Pré-d’en-Haut in 1999. Les Petits Fruits de Pré d’en Haut has been certified by CanadaGAP, an on-farm food safety program of the Canadian Horticultural Council (CHC).

Description

Les Petits fruits de Pré-d’en-Haut farms 10 acres of blueberries and 25 acres of vegetables, mainly squash and pumpkins. Its products are sold at the on-site farm stand and at numerous markets throughout the region, and visitors can also pick their own strawberries, blueberries and pumpkins.

Where Sold

All of our products are distributed to stores through the company JLB Produce, which we created to represent us to major retailers throughout the Atlantic Provinces. JLB Produce also looks after distribution for a number of other Really Local producers.

Our home made jams are available all year at : Sobey’s, Coop Atlantique, McBuns Bakery (Shediac Rd. Mountain Rd), Nanna’s Bakery, Verger Belliveau Orchard, M.Tomate, Ferme Michaud Farm, Pays de La Sagouine.

Harvest Calendar

End of June : * Strawberries
Mid-July : Raspberries
End of July : Blueberries
August 5 : Open Farm Day
End of September : Pumpkins

We also sell our products fresh picked the same day. We are open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until mid-September. After that we are open only on weekends until Thanksgiving Day.
