Brief History

Normand Poirier grew up on his family farm, gradually becoming involved in the farming operation in the 1960s. A third-generation farmer, Normand grew tobacco for many years. Today he specializes in growing strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes and carrots.

Description

This farm is approximately 170 acres, including 14 acres of strawberries, 6 acres of potatoes, 70 acres of carrots and a section devoted to U-pick tomatoes. The remainder of the property is used for grain rotation.

Calendar

Late June / early July: strawberry U-pick
September: tomato U-pick

Note: carrot harvest from August 15 to September 2

Where sold

Strawberries and tomatoes are available during U-Pick
Carrots are sold to Oxford Frozen Foods
